Cockpit
Purpose
- The purpose of the cockpit is to provide an overview of the health and performance of the monitored devices in one single page
- The application provides different level of details depending on how many systems and how much information you want to see
Cockpit UI
View selector
- view selector: Use the view selector to change the amount of displayed information:
- Tiny: Display system’s connectivity status. Ideal to span over a large number of system
- Small: Display’s system’s connectivity and alarm overview: Quickly identify where to look for problems on a large number of systems
- Large: Shows detailed information about each system
Tiny: Shows device state only
Small: Shows device state and alarms
Large: Shows device metrics
Selectors
- Use the type selector to choose which types of devices have to be displayed
- All : Display all types of devices
- Group/BOBJ/NetWeaver/HANA : Toggles the display of devices of the associated type
Misc.
- Order selector: Defines if the systems are ordered by type or by name
- Filter: The filter allows to quickly find systems by name or type
- Alarm modules: If show alarm modules is enabled, the monitored modules having an active alarm will be displayed under the system details (Large view only)
- Links:
- If you click on system name, you will be redirected to the system dashboard
- If you click on the alarm overview, you will be redirected to the alarm console showing system’s alarm details
- If you click on any metric panel, you will be redirected to the appropriate dashboard tab
