The visibility and interaction a user can have with of those applications depends on its authorization profiles

Applications

Application Description
Cockpit Overview of your system's health and performance
Alarms An alarm cockpit to manage all incoming alarms
Inventory An inventory application to list and see groups, systems, hosts, etc…

Monitoring

The monitoring section allows you to define the structure of the monitored environments as well as all the necessary parameters to connect. 
It is also here that you will define and customize the way each environment will be monitored.

Type Description
Organizations Organization shall be use to define the name of the company who belongs the monitored environments
Groups An arbitrary group of systems allowing to distinguish different kinds. Usually systems from a given group will be monitored the same way
Systems This entity describes a SAP system and will contain all possible connection parameters
Connectors Defines a connection mean to a system. There could be several entry points: Web, DB, REST, etc… this is where you define it
Users This section defines the user profiles used by the connectors to connect to the systems.
Profiles Defines the monitoring profiles used to monitor the systems
Crons Define the schedules used by the monitors
